We
talk about our experience at PodCamp NYC.  PodCamp is an un-conference,
a place where the attendees are responsible for providing content.  The event
drew over 1,000 podcasters from the New York area as well as many others

missed the event, shame on you!  I got to catch up with my friend, podcasting expert and lead organizer of PodCamp NYC, John C. Havens of
about.com as well as our friends Kathy and Al Ritondo of the Wedding
Video Talk podcast.  The event was fabulous.  The seminars and
networking were unmatched.  We met a really talented musician by
the name of Natalie Gelman and we play a song off of her self-named CD
called "Sweet July".

It’s always a delight to chat with the
infamous and exceptional Henry Roth.  Holli and Henry discuss the gowns
noticed on the red carpet at this year’s Oscar’s. Henry, third
generation gown designer and WPN’s very own co-host of Planet Bride, is
energized getting ready to introduce his latest looks on Roth Runway.

conceptual design of The Wedding Salon, the world’s first luxury
wedding showcase, featuring products and services for the sophisticated
bride and groom.

Ready
to minimize stress? Bara Sapir, internationally recognized expert in
relaxation techniques, empowerment and transformation, can manifest a
nice calm on a crazed day.  Learn ways to combat wedding anxiety.

Wonderful
News!  The Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation has recovered
stolen wedding gowns worth over $3 million.  Now that they have their
truck, trailer and gowns back they will be able to hold Brides Against
Breast Cancer gown sales on the East and West Coast more easily.  This
will result in touching more lives, granting more wishes and making

Henry and Michelle Roth take you behind the curtains in their NYC showroom with real bride Ruth. She took a train from Albany, NY to discuss her concerns and fears about how the wedding dress fits. Henry and Michelle take care of this 6′ tall bride in the alterations room. Henry and Michelle want this bride and brides everywhere to be happy with their choice. Will the dress that Ruth likes accommodate her height and torso? Is this the dress she will ultimately purchase?

Many questions are asked of Ruth – Are you nervous about today’s appointment? What type of wedding are you having? Did you use the Internet when looking for the gown? Did you go to any sample sales? Did you bring a shoe with the right heel height and lingerie? Are you happy with the proportion of the bodice? What are you most conscious of? When you try on a sample size can you vision how it will look once fitted? What does the bride want to hide on her body the most? Why are you uncertain?

The votes are in, and it’s unanimous.  The designers want you in a  wedding dress
that reflects you and your sense of style.
You should be thrilled because show after show, collection after
collection, runway after runway, were filled with one beautiful dress after
another. Beading, lace, empire and belted, feminine, sexy and chic.  Wedding Podcast Network unveils coverage of
Bridal Market in New York City
heard nowhere else.  You are invited to a
front row seat to hear the personal inspiration of the looks and styles for
Spring 2007.

We hope you enjoyed Bridal Scene #17, Bridal Market Spring 2007 NYC Coverage Part
1.  Part 2 is a special 90 minute
celebration of the hottest, most noted gown designers.  Join us as we go
backstage and speak with more than a dozen key players in the wedding
industry.  WPN
had a chance to chat with highly
accomplished wedding experts: Kathy Nenneker, Editor Los Angeles
Weddings
magazine, Sylvia Weinstock, wedding cake diva, Carley Roney, founder of
The Knot and Antonia van der Meer, Editor in Chief of Modern Bride
magazine.  Jessica Liebeskind, beauty correspondent,
talks with WPN about the hair and makeup seen on the runway.

The storytelling begins with Justina McCaffrey’s "Majestic" collection. Her dresses, created out of the finest silks, exude a
gracefulness and classic elegance.  All
of her designs carry a strong tie with Justina’s love of ballet.

Reem Acra’s collection is about modernity and feminity
inspired by Josephine Bonaparte.  Acra is
known for her attention to detail, signature beaded embroideries and unique
fabric combinations.

Monique Lhuillier Bride is high fashion.  Sighted:
Hand tufting, re-embroidered lace, three quarter and long sleeves, full A-line
skirts and pleated boleros. Colors:
Ivory, Pewter, Mushroom and Latte.

Carmela Sutera introduced an elegant collection featuring
the finest European fabrics.  The linen
gowns with Venice lace were
particularly fresh.  Colored satin
sashes, pleated waistbands, long sleeves, colored ribbon accents
were a few of the details noticed on the runway.

Anne Barge’s love and appreciation of classic, timeless
elegance is reflected in her latest bridal collection.  Ice blue silk satin, cotton pique,  Paris
brooches, hand beading, fine feathers, black silk flowers, black velvet band
and crystal cut sequins accented with Swarovski crystals were just some of the beautiful
adornments seen.

Mark Badgley & James Mischka, celebrity designers, are
masters of bead, lace and red carpet glamour.
The Badgley Mischka signature style is simple, streamlined and
thoroughly elegant, luxurious detail.  Sexy, Retro Silhouettes.  Shoes
and handbags
also designed by Badgley Mischka.

Feminine glamour and modern styles by Amsale, Christos and
Kenneth Pool follow.  Scoop: Project
Runway’s Austin Scarlett caught the eye of judge Amsale Aberra and was offered
the head design  position at Kenneth
Poole, an Amsale division known for opulent, luxurious bridal and evening wear.

The PLATINUM for Priscilla of Boston Collection is for brides who prefer a more luxurious, dramatic gown.  Designs are created from elegant silk fabrics
with hand-embroidered beading, crystal and threadwork.

Venezuelan-born Angel Sanchez creates bridal gowns that are
architectural and contemporary while still being feminine.  Sanchez represents the perspective of the
international Latin-American style.  His
mother was his first inspiration because of her taste and determination.

Pnina Tornai, leading designer in Israel,
houses her collection exclusively at Kleinfeld Bridal in NYC.  Her signature corset design is created to
have the perfect fit.  Her collection
varies from classic with clean lines and details to sophisticated hand
embroidered ballgowns.  The finale wowed
us:  Noir – black wedding gown.

Vera Wang celebrates the individuality and spirit of modern
young women.  Waists are loose and free,
or wrapped in sashes of tulle or linen, sequin, snakeskin and stones.  Element of style:  extravagant bows, ties and watteaus create a
sense of volume, movement and ornamentation.
Her collection of dresses express freedom, elegance, and ease.

We hope you enjoyed walking down the runway with us.

This Bridal Scene is a wonderful variety of entertaining guests, music and news in the world of weddings.

We
visited the New York International Gift Fair, and looked for new
products in the bridal market.  We speak with Robin Kramer, Director of
Sales, from Dogeared Jewels & Gifts.  Dogeared’s designer Marcia
Maizel-Clarke recognized the need for jewelry that speaks, and created
the original word jewelry and charms.  The products at this company
capture the magic of words, symbols, wishes and dreams. We think that
their necklaces would make a great gift for bridesmaids and the flower
girl.

You’ve got questions….Jessica has the answers.  Jessica
Liebeskind, make-up artist and lifestyle beauty expert, shares some
great ideas on putting together a Bridal Beauty emergency kit for your
guests.  She tells us what it is, where to put it and most important
terrific suggestions on what to put in it.  Jessica to the rescue.

Ready
to be entertained?  Wedding Podcast Network is proud to introduce

It’s not to be missed!

Uncle Seth is a great band Robert met at
